Privacy Policy

This is the plain-English version of how FullStack Tech NYC handles your data on fullstacktechnyc.com and our apps. We wrote it to be read, not to be survived. "We" means FullStack Tech NYC; "you" means whoever is using our stuff.

The short version

• We collect what we need to run the product, and not much else.
• We don't sell your data, and we don't use the documents or messages you upload to train our own models.
• The files and chats you put into our AI features are yours. We use them to give you answers, not for anything on the side.
• You can ask us to hand back or delete your data, and we will.

The rest of this page is the detail behind those four lines.

What we collect

• Things you tell us. When you message us, make an account, or join a team, we get your name, email, organization, and whatever you type into a form.
• Things you upload. The documents, prompts, and chat messages you feed into our AI features. We need these to actually do the work you're asking for.
• Payment details. Stripe handles checkout. We never see or store your full card number — just the boring leftovers like the last four digits, the amount, and whether it went through.
• Automatic technical data. Like every website, our servers log things such as your IP address, browser, which pages you hit, and when. We use this to keep the lights on and keep bots out.

What we do with it

In short, run the product and nothing sneaky. Specifically:

• Give you the app, your account, and your credit balance.
• Turn your documents and prompts into the answers you asked for.
• Take payments and send you receipts and account emails.
• Answer you when you write in for help.
• Spot fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.
• Do the things the law actually requires of us.

Your documents and chats

This is the part people care about most, so plainly: the files you upload and the conversations you have with the AI belong to you. We store them so the product works — so your team can search them and pick up a chat where you left off — and we pass them to AI providers only to generate your results. We do not use them to train our own models, and we do not sell or rent them. When you delete them, or ask us to, they're gone.

Who else touches your data

We keep the vendor list short and only use companies we'd trust with our own data. Each is contractually limited to using your data to provide their service to us — not for their own purposes:

• Cloudflare — hosting, our database, file storage, and email delivery. Your data lives on their infrastructure.
• Stripe — payments.
• Resend — the transactional emails we send you (magic links, password resets).
• AI model providers — they run the models behind the chat and generation features. Your prompts and documents pass through them to produce answers; they're barred from training on that data.

Beyond those vendors, we'll only hand over your data if the law forces us to, to protect people from harm or abuse, or if the company is ever sold or merged — in which case this policy travels with it.

How long we keep it

We hold onto your data while your account is open and for as long as we need it to run the service, settle disputes, and meet legal requirements. Close your account or ask us to delete something, and we'll take care of it — minus anything we're legally required to retain (like tax records).

Your controls

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold, fix it, export it, or delete it — and to stop certain uses of it. No lawyer or special form required: email privacy@fullstacktechnyc.com and we'll sort it out.

Cookies

We use cookies for the unglamorous stuff: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and understanding how the app is used. You can clear or block them in your browser, but a few things (like staying logged in) won't work without them.

Security

We take reasonable, up-to-date measures to protect your data — encrypted connections, access controls, hardened infrastructure. We won't pretend any system is unbreakable, because none is, but we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated.

Kids

This isn't a product for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child sent us something, tell us and we'll delete it.

When this changes

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything that actually matters to you, tell you directly rather than burying it here.
